TYPOGRAPHY PROJECTS
Much of my work is inspired by typography. Streets signs, menus, posters, and logos are crucial parts of my artistic inspiration.
Picked & Plated Menus - Project from my Typography II class
For this project, I was tasked with designing printed and mobile menus for a restaurant of my creation. The assignment allowed for just one non-typographic element, so I chose to incorporate a watercolor background to add a unique touch. The restaurant I envisioned, “Picked & Plated,” is inspired by the farm-to-table concept. Guests select fresh produce directly from the garden, which is then prepared by the chefs to create their meals. View the entire project here.
Online Exhibit - Project from my Typography II class
This project is an informational online exhibit about the art of typography within coffee table books, one of my great interests within typography. Featured are travel, fashion, home, and cookbooks. Using Adobe XD, I created a functioning (unpublished) website. View the entire site here.
Cincinnati Magazine - Project from my Typography II class
I created a tourist magazine for a randomly selected city (from a list of the top 50 worst places to live in the United States). The end goal was to highlight unknown features of these typically uneventful places. Other than the cover, each design element is created with typography. View the magazine here.
